These pictures are based on the real-time reports from about 100 to 200 stations well-spread over India, as published in the Daily Weather Summaries issued by the India Meteorological Department.  The blue shaded area in the bottom panel denotes the confidence interval for the long-term mean, taken as 10% above and below the mean rainfall.
