Advanced SAFAR inaugarated by Dr. Harsh Vardhan
Inauguration of the most advanced SAFAR by Dr. Harsh Vardhan at Delhi
Dr. Harsh Vardhan inaugurated the most advanced System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting (SAFAR) on 21 July 2018 at ChandniChowk in Delhi. This is new system will track UV-Index, PM1, Mercury and Black carbon in real time. The system, first of its kind in the country, was developed indigenously in record time by Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, Pune and operationalized by India Meteorological Department (IMD).
