Training Workshop on Lightning and Extreme Weather Events at IITM
A Training Workshop on Lightning and Extreme Weather Events during 4-7 April 2017 at IITM
The main aim of the workshop is to create awareness about the above natural hazards among the officials involved in disaster managements and to educate about the precautions that may to be taken to decrease the losses. The intended participants of this workshop are officials in disaster management of various state Governments.
Scientists from IITM and IMD would impart training to these participants. The scopes of the workshop include lectures, visit to laboratories and online training on use of available software to visualize lightning.
