Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed on 11 January 2018 between IITM, Pune and Madhya Pradesh Council of Science & Technology in the presence of Secretary, MoES at Prithvi Bhawan for the establishment of Atmospheric Research Testbed facility in central India. This will have state-of-the art experimental facilities such as, multi frequency radars, wind profilers and other land atmosphere measurements. Data sets from this facility will help in better understanding physical processes relating to convection, clouds and other atmospheric phenomenon and parameterize them which will lead to improvements in weather and climate predictions. |
