International Collaboration :

A collaborative work has been carried out on the topic of ‘Water quality studies for selected stations and parameters in the Krishna river basin’, under the Indo-UK project - "Impacts of Climate Change on Water Resources" (2004)
I have collaborated with Dr. M. Mirza of Toranto University, Canada on the topic ‘Floods and droughts’. A book on ‘Hydrometeroroly of floods and droughts in South Asia’ (under publication) with myself as the leading author along with Dr.O.N.Dhar, Dr. M.M.Sheikh, Dr.Brenna Enright and Dr.M.Mirza

National River basin Sponsored Research Project work

Worked as a Co-principle Investigator in different projects on ‘Estimation of Standard Project Storm (SPS) and Probable Maximum Precipitation (PMP) with time distribution analysis for a) the Krishna basin, b) the Godavari basin, c) the Brahmaputra basin, d) the Indus river system, e) the Mahanadi basin, f) the Narmada basin, g) major tributaries of the Ganga river system under the sponsorship of Central Water Commission (CWC), New Delhi; National Hydroelectric and Power Corporation (NHPC), Faridabad; National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Ltd., Noida.

Academic Activities

I am giving general guidance to the new Research-fellows who join the Hydromet Project from time to time on various aspects of Hydrometerological analysis of rainfall over different river basins of India for the last few years.

Addressed scientists of CWPRS, Pune; Engineers of Irrigation Department of Maharashtra and CWPC, N.Delhi from time to time and explained to them different aspects of Hydrometerology for Development of water resources with the help of meteorological data and analysis.
