27) Director IITM has nominated to associate me with Dr. Sumant Nigam's Research Project Title: “Statistical Prediction of the Seasonal and Sub-seasonal Summer and Winter Monsoon Rainfall Distribution over the Indian Subcontinent” UM Principal Investigator: Dr. Sumant Nigam, UM Proposal Number: 41764 DUNS Number: 79-093-4285 EIN: 52-6002033 funded under Monsoon Mission (MM)-II Program at the University of Maryland, USA. Dr. Sumant Nigam as the Principal Investigator and Dr. Alfredo Ruiz-Barradas as the Principal Co-Investigator for the project. The budget is in the amount of $500,405.

26) Examined and evaluated the Ph.D. Thesis of Mr. Anubhav Choudhary, School of Environmental Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, title: “Study of Indian Summer Monsoon using Regional Climate Model Experiments”.

25) Guiding IITM Research Fellow student, Miss. Monalisa Sahoo for her Ph.D. Degree in the Atmospheric and Space Sciences, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, Maharashtra, India on the topic “Interannual Variability and Teleconnection of Indian Summer Monsoon over Major Homogeneous Regions of India.”. 24) Guiding IITM Scientist Mr. Somaru Ram for his Ph.D. Degree in the Department of Geophysics, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India for the topic “Climate Change and Climate Variability studies based on tree ring records of Himalayan Region.” Ph.D. Registration No. GP/RES-March.-17 (EXT.) / 2.

23) Taught “Climate Data Analysis” in Fall 2018, including the subjects of Indian summer monsoon, ENSO, IOD, Atlantic Niño, Asian winter monsoon, African monsoon, for the Graduate Course at Utah State University, Logan, USA, 20 September-01 November 2018.

22) Lead Talk on “The Mid-latitude Rossby wave modulation of the Indian summer monsoon” followed by Chairing the Technical Session VI of the EWEIO-2017: “National Seminar on Extreme Weather Events and Indian Ocean” held during 27-29 November 2017 at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, INDIA.

21) Guided Master of Technology (M. Tech.) Geoinformatics student, Mr. Kedari Tushar Bhanudas of Bharathidasan University, Triruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, India from 22-Dec-2016 to 21-May-2017 for his Project Work entitled 'Shift of Indian Seasonal Precipitation' for getting his M. Tech. degree in Geoinformatics.

20) Lead Talk on the Relationship between Iran surface pressure and Indian summer monsoon by Ramesh Kumar Yadav in the Conference: TROPMET - 2016 i.e. National Symposium on Tropical Meteorology: Climate Change and Coastal Vulnerability, held during December 18-21, 2016 at Bhubaneswar, Odisha, INDIA.

19) Invited lecture on Long term precipitation record, Western Disturbance (WD) and precipitation pattern, and Global influence on the regional rainfall of the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) region in a Group-Discussion Meeting on the 2014 Srinagar Rains and Floods of September 2014 held during 13th and 14th of May, 2016 at Jammu University, Jammu, J&K, India under the sponsorship of the Indian National Science Academy (INSA) and the United States (US) National Academy of Sciences (UN NAS).

18) Participated the CSIR JRF/Lectureship pre-examination meeting in the subject of Earth  Sciences held between 15th to 17th April, 2016 at CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories, Bengaluru.

17) Participated the MoES first meeting to prepare the Strategy Document on Atmospheric Sciences on 1st April 2016 at IITM, Pune.

11) Called as Subject Expert in the interview for the post of 'Project Fellow' for the project entitled 'Investigation of temperature and rainfall extremes over southern India since the late twentieth century' on 4^th March, 2010 in the Department of Geography, University of Pune.

10) Guided Master of Science (Technology) Geophysics (with specialization in Meteorology) student, Mr. Rajeev Kumar Yadav from 12-Jan-2011 to 22-Feb-2011 for writing his Dissertation and Project Work entitled 'Seasonal Forecasting of Indian Summer Monsoon' which has to be submitted by him to the Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, UP, India for getting his M. Sc. (Tech.) degree in Geophysics.

4) Obtained 85% marks in the First Level National Mathematics Olympiad Contest-1990 for IX class held by “Delhi Association of Mathematics Teachers ”.
