Aim and desired outcomes of the workshop:
The WCSSP India WP3 Impacts-based Forecasting (IbF) workshop aims to provide an overview of the current research being undertaken within this field in India and the UK, to identify future research steps that can be undertaken within WCSSP. The workshop will ensure that all attendees develop a shared understanding of the concepts and terminology used in India and the UK. Research gaps and opportunities will be identified that will inform and prioritise the research direction of WP3 ‘Risk-based forecasting and high-impact weather/seasonal climate events’.
