- 7 February 2008. CAIPEEX Technical Expert Committee meeting conducted under the Chairmanship of Dr. Ajit Tyagi, AVM, and VSM to discuss and finalize the aircraft and instrument specifications and global tender.
- 18 February 2008. First Administrative committee meeting convened to brief the CAIPEEX program to all the members and also to discuss about the actions towards global tendering for instrumented aircraft.
- 6 March, 2008. Administrative committee meeting convened to discuss about the terms & conditions in the tender document.
- 17 April 2008. Standing Finance Committee (SFC) approval.
- 17 April 2008. Administrative committee of the CAIPEEX-tender visited NCAOR, Goa for consultation and finalization of tender document for hiring the instrumented aircraft.
- 21 April 2008. Mumbai mission planning meeting at RMC, Mumbai. CAIPEEX team members from IITM, RMC (Mumbai) scientist, IIT(B) scientist attended the meeting.
- 23 April 2008. Administrative committee meeting for finalization of tender document and approval of Director.
- 25 April 2008. Administrative committee of the CAIPEEX finalized the tender document and Director's approval obtained.
- 29 April 2008. National level one day Brain storming workshop was organized at IITM to appraise the scientific and implementation plans of CAIPEEX to various participating institutions from all over the country.
- 30 April 2008. Global Tender for hiring the instrumented aircraft was floated. Published in several national dailies and Institute's web page with last date for submission as 30 May, 2008.
- 9 May 2008. Meeting with DGM, IMD, Dr. M.K. Bhatnagar, Director Aviation Services, IMD New Delhi and telephonic discussions with AVM Sharma, IAF New Delhi for appraisal of the status and making preparations for obtaining the various permissions in regard to CAIPEEX instrumented aircraft.
- 21 May 2008. Meeting with Met In charge Santacruz Airport, Executive Director AAI Mumbai.
- 21 May 2008. First CAIPEEX Mumbai Mission meeting at RMC, Colaba.
- June 2008. Formal approval letter has been received by the Institute from the ministry.
- 2 June 2008. Administrative committee meeting - The last date for submission of the tender was extended 13 June 2008 (first extension).
- 16 June 2008. Administrative committee meeting - The last date of the submission of tender extended to 30 June 2008 (second extension).
- 1 July 2008. Administrative committee meeting - The last date of the submission of tender extended to 7 July (third extension).
- 7 July 2008. Response from UCAR/NCAR for the tender.
- 14 July 2008. First installment disbursement order from ministry.
- 14 July 2008. Meeting with Director, (Engineering) Air India Mumbai for identifying suitable member having knowledge of leasing aircraft for the commercial bid evaluation committee.
- 15 July 2008. Meeting of technical committee at IITM with local members and reports of outstation members.
- 17 July, 2008. Meeting with the Pune Airport Director in regard to airport operations.
- 25 July 2008. First meeting of the commercial bid evaluation committee at Air India office, Mumbai.
- 31 July 2008. Meeting with DGCA for AOC permission for the operation of the aircraft in India during the CAIPEEX mission period.
- 31 July 2008. Appraisal of CAIPEEX program by Dr. J. R. Kulkarni to DGM and IMD officials, New Delhi.
- 1 August 2008. Meeting with Chairman Airport Authority of India New Delhi for the flight permissions.
- 1 August 2008. Meeting with the Air Com. G.P. Sharma, at Vayu Bhavan New Delhi for CAIPEEX appraisal and discussion for the role of Indian Air Force in CAIPEEX.
- 5 August 2008. Second meeting of the bid evaluation committee meeting at IITM, Pune.
- 6 August 2008. Permission obtained from AAI for parking aircraft at about 8 airports in India during the CAIPEEX period.
- 7 August 2008. Approval of the final minutes of the Commercial Bid Evaluation committee recommendations.
- 7 August 2008. Information Communicated to NCAR regarding the acceptance of the commercial bid.
- 8 August 2008. Meeting with Custom Commissioner of Mumbai for the permissions for entry of the instruments.
- 8 August 2008. Meeting with the Tax Consultants in Mumbai regarding TDS and service tax for CAIPEEX payments.
- 14 August 2008. Administrative committee meeting - Discussion about the agreement copy received from NCAR.
- 19 August 2008. Administrative committee meeting - Discussion on the response received from NCAR on the agreement.
- 21 August 2008. Administrative committee meeting - Discussions on the comments received from the lawyer.
- 22 August 2008. Visit to Customs Commissioner, Mumbai for instruments clearance procedure and IMD RS/RW office for the space.
- 26 August 2008. Visit to Air India office Mumbai for surveying Hangar facilities.
- 27 August 2008. Visit to DGCA office, Air and Naval Head quarters and Ministry of Defense, New Delhi in regard to obtain permissions for aircraft operations.
