The third SRMC meeting of "Monsoon Mission" was held during 4-5 March, 2013 at the Aryabhatta Hall of Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune under the Chairmanship of Prof. D. R. Sikka.

Agenda :

The main agenda of the Third SRMC meeting was to review the National and Internationals proposals submitted to Monsoon Mission(deferred & revised proposals of earlier meeting and new proposals obtained after Second SRMC Meeting) to discuss the progress and future course of work and the roadmap of the Monsoon Mission.

• Opening Remarks by Prof. B. N. Goswami, Mission Director

  While welcoming the participants, Prof. B. N. Goswami reiterated the importance and objectives of the monsoon mission. He expressed that the Science plan would be completed within one month, as the contributions from Project Directors of three Institution(namely IITM, IMD and NCMRWF) have been recieved now.
