ABOUT WORKSHOP

The workshop is aimed at bringing together climate scientists and water resources managers from India and USA to discuss collaborative opportunities and to translate experiences from the US to the Indian context. The main topics of the workshop include:

• Mutual understanding of the water resources and climate forecast systems   

• Decision support system (DSS) for water management.

• Decision making under uncertainty

• Translating climate forecasts to use in water management.

 This workshop is expected to lead to the development of pilot projects using DSS  tools for watersheds  in India and eventually to a long lasting and fruitful collaboration between India and US.
